We have more in common 
With our neighbors 
Than we might think 
Or others try to make us believe 

Our neighbors are not the enemy 
They are just like us 
Trying to make it in this world 
Designed to keep us down 

Chaos and division 
The name of the game 
Trying to destroy the foundation 
Of our only hope and home 

This can only be made possible 
Through apathy and resignation 
Not speaking up 
And burying our heads in shame 

I will not stand for this 
I will not sit idly by 
I will stand up for our neighbors 
And I will love them just the same 

We all have a choice 
It is not yet too late 
I choose being on the right side of history 
I choose my neighbors as God chooses me
